Financial risks of hyip projects
Any investment involves risk. There is even a rule that the level of income in investments is directly proportional to the level of risk. However, participation in HYIPs is by default considered a very risky undertaking, however, even here there are gradations of danger:
- Super risky. Most often, this level of risk is assigned to projects that offer fabulous interest rates and return on investment in a short period of time. If the project does not quickly raise funds for its business idea, then the investment is doomed to burn out in a matter of weeks or even days. Only the very first investors are able to make money on this kind of project, so when considering the opportunity to invest, it is important to adequately assess the potential of a specific financial initiative.
- High risk. This level of risk applies to projects that also promise large profits in a relatively short period of time, but have a more thoughtful concept for raising funds. This could be more competent work with potential investors or a more moderate payment system, which extends the life of the project and increases the chances of making money on the hype for investors who did not join the project at the very start.
- Risky. This level of risk is attributed to projects that are designed for a relatively long payback period due to moderate interest on payments. Sometimes investments in this type of hype may be slightly supported by additional assets. In such a situation, a much larger number of investors manage to earn money on the hyip project.
The golden rule of an experienced investor says: before making an investment decision, you need to, without giving in to emotions, carry out a qualitative calculation of the effectiveness of a particular project. Another rule that helps reduce risks even when working with high-risk HYIP projects is diversification of the investment portfolio. You shouldn’t get hung up and invest in only one project or company. It is necessary to consider the possibility of investing in several multidirectional projects at once. This strategy often increases the chances of making high profits and reduces the likelihood of failure.

What are investments in scientific development?
The investment activity of an entrepreneur involves obtaining a stable profit from any investment project. Choosing the most promising option is the key to success. The most popular and promising area available to large businessmen is investing in scientific developments.
What is this type of investment? First of all, this is the development of goods, technologies or services that carry a completely innovative idea. Largely improved, previously existing product options may also be unique investment opportunities.
Features of investment in scientific development
Nowadays, the successful development of scientific and innovative activities is inextricably linked with the investment of funds. This factor is due to a number of reasons. Firstly, the creation of a new product is a rather expensive process, which includes analytical research in the chosen area, development of the concept and idea of the product, construction of technologies for its production or modernization of outdated lines, direct production, promotion and launch of the new product to the market for the end consumer. To carry out all these procedures, a lot of money is needed. As a result, scientific developments are inextricably linked with investments in scientific development .
Investments in scientific developments represent the investment of funds in investment projects, the goal of which is to create a completely new product (with unique properties).
IMPORTANT! The result of investing money can be not only the final product or service. This could be the development of unique production methods or technologies, and much more that has not been used before.
Regardless of the result, the investor is primarily interested in receiving high, stable profits from the invested funds. This is why investing in scientific developments is becoming increasingly popular. Technological progress is rapidly developing and being introduced into everyday life, certain discoveries occur almost every day, so the area for generating additional income is very large.
By investing money in scientific developments, an entrepreneur acts as a catalyst for the process of scientific and creative activity, which as a result has a positive effect on the level of development of the country and the standard of living of the population.
Sources of investment in scientific developments
- State.
- Personal funds of organizations or individuals.
- Investor funds.
- Investments from foreign states, organizations or individuals.
Indicators of investment activity in scientific developments
Regardless of the amount of money, it is important to manage it wisely. It is to determine this parameter that the following indicators exist:
- Investment activity in the field of scientific developments by regions, areas of activity, organizations.
- Total number of officially registered new patents.
- Total investment in scientific development .
Features of investing money in scientific developments in Russia
Despite the rapid development of technological progress throughout the world, including in Russia, their volume is still insufficient. In most cases, the main cash flow is the company's own funds. As a rule, they are not enough, because developments require significant investments, which is why only large entrepreneurs enter the market for investments in scientific developments .
Despite this, the state is striving to radically change the current situation and create all conditions for the implementation of full-fledged innovation activities in our country.
Today, some of the main sectors of investment activity are the following:
- Nuclear industry.
- Modern information technologies.
- Search for alternative resources for production.
- Developing your presence in space.
- Medicine and other areas of social life.
Let's look at the problems facing businessmen seeking to make a profit from scientific developments.
- It is worth noting that there is a misconception in society that innovative developments are available only to young scientists, but this is far from the truth. According to some reports, most of the innovative developments are created by older generation scientists.
- In addition, one of the most pressing problems is the lack of a simple and clear mechanism for obtaining funding from inventors or scientists. Thus, it turns out that a procedure capable of bringing innovative developments to the end user has not been developed at the moment. Scientists and investors find it difficult to find each other due to a complete lack of interaction.
- Also, a significant obstacle to investing in scientific developments is the lack of experience in conveying the meaning and importance of one’s own ideas or very low self-presentation skills. So, often, despite the value of the idea, its authors are not able to competently talk about it and, thereby, interest the entrepreneur. Therefore, unfortunately, often the idea does not receive its promising development.
In simple words, we can highlight the following most pressing problems associated with investments in scientific developments :
- Excessive government influence, there is no incentive for private entrepreneurs to improve entrepreneurship in the field of investment.
- Insufficient level of support for scientists and new discoveries, lack of established interaction between universities or colleges and research centers.
- Predominance of monopoly companies in the market.
- Bureaucratic system.
Areas of investment in scientific development
Today we can highlight the most popular areas for investment in scientific development . Let's list them -
- The field of production management and labor organization.
- Improvement of production processes.
- Increasing actual production safety in all areas, including reducing the negative impact on the environment.
- Modernization of production.
- Improvement of existing products.
- The use of completely new resources in the production of goods and services. Initially, the principle of this factor is to reduce the cost of the production process, creating a product with new characteristics, which certainly leads to its rise in price.
- creation of completely new products and services.

HYIPs are very different, but they are all easily grouped according to two criteria: payback period and life span. It’s not for nothing that most investment projects of this kind display a counter on their official websites on the main page that shows how long the project has existed. Depending on which group a hype project belongs to, it may have a number of characteristic features inherent to its type. In general, according to their lifespan, hyip investment projects are divided into short-term, medium-term and long-term.
Short-term investment projects
These kinds of projects are usually called fast projects, since they last no more than a month or two. In short-term projects we are always talking about very high percentages. Payments are usually made daily in the amount of 1 to 3%, but if you set up payments as weekly or monthly, then in terms of daily receipts the income can reach 5%. For a project to be able to cover such costs, it must attract a lot of investors every day. Often, unrealistic advertising is launched for this purpose, promising 150% profit per day. Only upon registration it turns out that things are a little different. Newly arrived users are informed that the daily profit will be from 103 to 105%, where 100% is the body of the deposit, which is not returned. Thus, it turns out that just to achieve a return on investment, you need to wait at least a month. It is very difficult to make money on fast food, you need to be well versed in the environment of highly profitable projects and quickly respond to fresh offers, because in order to receive income from such an investment hype, you need to be among the first investors.
Medium-term investment projects
The lifespan of a medium-term hype is about six months, but sometimes it reaches up to 9 months. The conditional viability of the project is achieved by more restrained payments at lower interest rates - 1-3% per day, or from 15 to 50% per month. Therefore, investors often manage not only to achieve a return on their investments, but also to invest in the project several times. Medium-term investment projects are characterized by longer periods for payments - a week or a month. A referral program is also starting to work. From the point of view of organizing this type of hype, all incoming cash flow to the company goes in three directions: interest payments to investors, advertising promotion of the project, and fees to the organizers. As soon as cash receipts for the development of the project become insufficient, its activities are immediately curtailed and payments are stopped. “The hype is gone!” — depositors who have not managed to receive the payments due to them usually say in this case.
Long-term investment projects
Such HYIPs have a low percentage of profitability and a relatively long lifespan - from one to three years. The percentage is really insignificant and comparable even to bank rates - it is 0.5-1% per day, or up to 16% per month. However, such HYIPs are aimed at large investors, with whom they work very carefully. Typically, a separate manager is appointed for each investor, who regularly provides reports on the company's activities. Long-term HYIPs are a fundamentally different level of organization; the company always has a stable office, official website, postal addresses and telephone numbers that can really be contacted at any time. Also, the project organizers pay special attention to such an important part of building a trusting relationship with the client as registering a company and obtaining permits. All this is done because the success of long-term investment projects really depends very much on their reputation and status. But even these efforts and polish do not guarantee that the flow of funds will be stable and at some point will not stop altogether “due to unforeseen circumstances.” There is a risk of losing all your savings in such hyip projects too, this should always be kept in mind.
Additional classification of investment projects
Naturally, in addition to the main types of investment projects, there are additional classifications based on some less obvious features.
They are also quite widely described in the specialized literature.
So, depending on the INVESTMENT OBJECTIVES
all investment projects are divided into those providing: a)
an increase in production volume, b) an expansion of the range, c) an increase in product quality, d) a reduction in production costs and e) the implementation of social programs.
BY SIZE OF INVESTMENT
investment projects can be divided into a)
large
, b)
traditional
and c)
small
(a classification similar to the division of investment projects by scale, but differing in a more detailed and precise distribution depending on the size of the investment).
Based on SOURCES OF FINANCING,
investment projects are those that are financed a)
from internal sources
(self-financing), b) through
credit funds
, c) through
the corporatization of an enterprise
and d) through
a mixture of all of the above forms of financing
.
According to the liquidity criterion, investment projects can be divided into:
a) highly liquid
(having high investment demand and great investor interest; as a rule, they can be freely sold within up to 1 month),
b) medium liquid
(can be implemented within 1 to 6 months),
c) low liquidity
(their implementation, that is, sale to investors can be carried out within a period exceeding 6 months) and
d) illiquid
(those without investment demand due to the use of outdated technologies, 100% wear and tear, etc.).
IN TERMS OF RISK DEGREE
investment projects are divided into a)
risky
(involving the risk of loss of invested funds) and b)
risk-free
(giving a 100% guarantee of return on invested funds).
FROM THE POSITION OF URGANCE FOR THE ENTERPRISE
(that is, the need for implementation at the given moment, first of all, so to speak) investment projects can be divided into a)
urgent
(require implementation right now) and b)
non-urgent
(that is, those that can be postponed to a later date) .
BY CASH FLOW TYPE
, used for financing, investment projects are a)
ordinary
(one source of financing) and b)
extraordinary
(several sources of financing).
Finally, depending on the DEGREE OF INFLUENCE
that different investment projects can have on each other, all investment projects are divided into:
a) independent (that is, having different goals, due to which their financing does not affect the implementation of other projects; for example, the construction of a grocery store in one area of the city and a mini-brick factory in another),
b) complementary (connected by a single ultimate goal, due to which they are financed from the same sources; in this case, the implementation of one of the projects directly depends on the implementation of another; for example, the development of a new microdistrict requires the implementation of several interrelated investment projects related to the construction of residential buildings, transport communications, social infrastructure, etc.) and
c) mutually exclusive (both or several projects cannot in principle be implemented simultaneously; for example, the development of a recreation park excludes the construction of an industrial enterprise on the same site).
Criterias of choice
Investors always face the difficult task of selecting projects that actually have the potential to generate impressive income. Tangible profitability in relation to understandable risks in the future is a key criterion for selection. However, when making the final choice of the next hype project, you need to take into account a number of important points:
- There are no other more profitable initiatives.
- Risks are correlated with potential income.
- The obvious prospects of hype.
- Acceptable payback period for investments.
- Payments are made according to plan.
Monitoring and rating of hyip projects
Every day advertisements for new HYIPs appear here and there on the Internet, and it is not always possible to choose an option that would certainly turn out to be a profitable investment decision. First of all, the information comes in very fragmented ways. To systematically evaluate incoming proposals, it is always convenient to have at hand a single catalog of HYIP projects with a detailed description of all working conditions, so that at any time you can compare investment proposals and the risks associated with them, and choose the best options among investment HYIPs. Also, last but not least, investors need a system of objective assessment of projects, for which an ordinary investor does not always have enough knowledge of the nuances of the field, and simply time. In such a situation, it is useful to become familiar with discussing specific HYIP projects with real investors. On the other hand, each investor has his own preferences when choosing hype projects that interest him and his vision of development prospects. All this imposes certain restrictions and difficulties on finding suitable HYIPs that actually pay. However, there is a fairly simple solution for this - professional monitoring of HYIP projects with subsequent compilation of ratings and discussion of the characteristics of each company by real HYIP participants.
