The Pascal Coin cryptocurrency was conceived as a fast alternative to Bitcoin.
It is based on innovative technology that expands the view of blockchain technology.
When creating the new cryptocurrency, the Free Pascal programming language was used.
The SafeBox data structure allows for complete cryptographic security, even when the blockchain is removed.
Story
Programmer Albert Molina noted that Bitcoin in general, and most other cryptocurrencies, have many disadvantages.
For example, the huge size of the blockchain, which stores all information about transactions on the network.
Moreover, with each transaction it grows even more.
Another problem concerned the loss of access keys. If a crypto investor loses them, he can say goodbye to his cryptocurrency, because it will not be possible to restore access to it.
To solve these and other problems, Molina began developing her altcoin – pascal coin.
Molina knew the Pascal programming language very well. He decided to write a new blockchain on it.
Moreover, he liked this language so much that he decided to name his creation after it.
In July 2020, Molina, in collaboration with other developers, created the first beta version of the pascal coin blockchain and published a white paper. The first full-fledged block appeared two months later, and the cryptocurrency became widely available.

Turbo Pascal 7.0 Beginner course. Faronov
Return
The Turbo Pascal programming system, developed by the American corporation Borland, remains one of the most popular programming systems in the world. This is facilitated, on the one hand, by the simplicity of the Pascal programming language underlying it, and on the other, by the work and talent of Borland employees, led by the ideologist and creator of Turbo Pascal Anders Hejlsberg, who put a lot of effort into improving it. Invented by the Swiss scientist Niklas Wirth as a means for teaching students programming, the Pascal language, through the efforts of A. Heilsberg, has turned into a powerful modern professional programming system that can handle any task - from creating simple programs designed to solve simple computing problems, to developing the most complex relational control systems databases. When I started working with Turbo Pascal back in 1986, I could not imagine what a huge role this wonderful programming system would play in my life. Today Turbo Pascal is my favorite professional tool. The advent of Windows and Borland Pascal with Objects and Delphi tools for developing programs in the Windows environment once again showed what truly inexhaustible possibilities it contains: both Borland Pascal and the Object Pascal language used in Delphi are based on Turbo Pascal and develop its ideas. The first part of this book describes the core of the programming system - the Turbo Pascal language and the standard CRT and GRAPH libraries. This part is intended mainly for beginning programmers who want to master the basics of the art of programming and try their hand at solving relatively simple problems. The second part examines the object-oriented Turbo Vision library, designed for the development of modern interactive programs of medium complexity. The problems of expanding standard Turbo Pascal tools and developing your own tools for flexible management of the technical capabilities of a personal computer, as well as practical recommendations for programming in protected processor mode and adapting your programs to work in the Windows environment are discussed in my other book, “Turbo Pascal. Programming Practice", which complements this one and, like it, is published by Knowledge Publishing House. The book is based on material that I published earlier in other books dedicated to Turbo Pascal. During the preparation of this edition, it was supplemented and corrected, but most of it remained unchanged, because Turbo Pascal itself remained unchanged. Ahead is Delphi, but that’s a topic for another book.
If you liked this book, share it with your friends, thereby helping us develop and add more and more interesting and necessary books! |
Features of the technology
The pascal coin blockchain does not store the entire history of transactions on the network. Data about all accounts and balances of crypto investors is stored in blocks. The blocks, in turn, are placed in so-called safes.
Also, hash codes are stored in safes to prevent interference with data security.
In such a system, you can delete the entire blockchain, but the network will work, because the transaction data is completely saved. In general, all important information and complex calculations are contained only in the first 100 blocks; the rest can be easily destroyed, and this will not affect the operation of the network in any way.
Another “trick” of this crypto coin is creating an account. You cannot create it yourself. This can only be done through mining.
When a new block is mined, 5 new accounts are added to the chain.
Since cryptocurrency works on the Proof of Work principle, one of these accounts contains the mining reward.
Only the first miner who mines the block receives it. The remaining 4 “empty” accounts also go to him.
Miners can dispose of accounts at their own discretion - sell or donate.
The developers have provided restrictions on the number of new accounts. In total, no more than 2,433,600 new accounts can be mined.
One of the new features is the assignment of unique names for accounts.
Most cryptocurrencies have addresses that look like long sets of characters and numbers. The pascal coin wallet address most often consists of 7 or 4 digits, for example, “36925-86” or “22-89”.
In most other cryptocurrency blockchains, the crypto investor receives private keys. They are used to use your account. If the key is lost, access to cryptocoins becomes impossible. Pascal Coin provides such a possibility. True, proof of cryptocurrency ownership is quite strange - it must lie on the wallet “without movement” for 4 years. In any case, it's better than losing your coins forever.

Capitalization and rate
After the crypto coin was born, the PASC rate did not even reach $0.01.
Capitalization ranged from $20,000 – 50,000.
For the first time, the pascal broke the $1 mark at the beginning of 2020. Then its price reached $1.24, and its capitalization was $7 million.
After this, a correction occurred, and the rate again fell below the dollar, where it remained until the end of last year.
At the beginning of 2020, the rate jumped to $5.63. Capitalization reached $95 million.
After another correction, pascal coin remains at $1.53. Capitalization is at $27 million.

Transaction speed and cost
In fact, it is not entirely correct to call a pascal coin transfer a transaction.
There are many types of transactions in the PASC network that do not end with the transfer of cryptocurrency.
The developers have provided the following types of operations:
- Transactions: transfers between accounts;
- Changing the account key: changing the account owner;
- List of accounts for sale: a list of accounts that are put up for public or private auction;
- Remove account from the list: the account is removed from sale;
- Purchase: buy an account;
- Change information: change the name or type of account;
- Recovery: if the key is lost, it can be restored;
If we talk specifically about transfers, they are confirmed in about 5 minutes. On average, the commission ranges from 0 to 0.03 PASC. You can find your transfer using the Explorer.Pascalcoin resource.

How to mine and where to store
Mining and storage occur using the same program - Pascal Coin Wallet.
It can be downloaded from the official website of the cryptocoin.
Go to the web page and scroll to the Wallets section.
At the moment, the wallet and miner work only on two operating systems – Windows and Linux.
In the future, the founders of the cryptocurrency promise to release an application for OS X, iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
Select the appropriate OS and click on it. The site will redirect to GitHub, where you can download the installers. We do this and start the installation.
Installation is instant. In the wallet you can find information about your account, operations, blocks and nodes.
There may be several safes in the vault with separate access keys. Their encryption types can also be selected.
256k1 is suitable for mining. To create such a safe, go to the Project tab and then to the Private keys section.
Here we select Generate New Key, indicate the name of the new storage and select the encryption type. For mining PASC – secp256k1.
The “mined” crypto coins will be stored in this safe. To configure the miner itself, go to Project and then the Options section. Here you need to come up with a name for the miner and choose which safe to load the mined cryptocurrency into.
Then you need to download the CudaPascalMiner program and connect it to your wallet. You can download Cuda on GitHub.
The next step is to unpack the archive and find the PascalProxyv2.jar file in it. A command line will launch, in which you must specify the host, port, number of video cards for mining, as well as the name of the miner.
The host, port and miner name can be found in the settings:
If everything is done correctly, the wallet will report a successful connection.
Next, go again to the directory with CUDA Miner and run the .exe file. When the miner finds the first block, the number in the Blocks found column will change.
To carry out any operation through the wallet, just click on the Operations section and then New Single Operations. Here we select the account from which we carry out the operation and complete it.
PASC can also be mined in tandem with ETH. To do this, you will need to create a profile on the Coinotron resource and download Claymore Dual Miner.

Where and how to buy
According to Coinmarketcap, pascal trading takes place on only one exchange – Poloniex.
The daily transaction volumes are very small and amount to only $72,268. And the cryptocurrency is traded only in pairs with BTC.
Before you start trading on the Poloniex exchange, you will have to go through the registration and identity verification procedure.
To do this, you need to go to the crypto exchange website and click Create Your Account.
The exchange will require you to indicate your country of residence, email, create a password and complete a captcha.
Then the exchange will send a confirmation letter by email.
Follow the link provided and begin the person verification process.
To go through this stage, the exchange will require you to enter your full name, address, zip code and telephone number.
Moreover, Poloniex will require you to upload documents that certify the specified data.
To purchase PASC, you will have to deposit cryptocurrency on the exchange. This can be done in the Deposit&Withdrawals tab
When all this is done, we proceed directly to the purchase of crypto coins. Go to the Exchange tab. In the search bar for cryptocurrencies we write PASC.
Next, scroll down, create a buy or sell order, and get the desired cryptocurrency
