Blockchain and Bitcoin conference in Malta on October 23

Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are now at the peak of popularity - we hear about new ICOs almost every day, and the Bitcoin exchange rate to the dollar is constantly breaking records. At the start, the world’s first cryptocurrency cost less than a dollar, and some enthusiasts are now counting millions in profits. Possessing information that is inaccessible to others in our time is more valuable than any asset, but you need to be able to extract this information - a specialized event that will soon be held in Moscow will help you do this.

It's a good idea to include blockchain and crypto in your professional skills list. The presence of these words in a resume automatically increases the value of a specialist by at least 25%, which is not bad at all in conditions of fierce competition in the labor market. There is quite a lot of information on the topic on the Internet, but it can hardly replace live communication: on November 15-16, the Moscow Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center will host the Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Moscow - the largest event dedicated to blockchain and cryptocurrencies in the post-Soviet space. It is organized by the company Smile-Expo, which has already held fifteen such events in the CIS and Europe. Leading domestic and foreign experts will talk about the market situation, explain how to properly conduct an ICO or invest in tokens, and how to profitably integrate blockchain into business. Most importantly, the event is not limited only to reports from speakers; in the demonstration area you will be able to see and even touch mining equipment and other interesting solutions.

Exhibition

The technically savvy public will certainly be attracted by the exhibition, which houses a record number of stands and is currently the largest in the world. The samples presented here can not only be viewed, but also tested in operation. Among the exhibition participants are fintech projects, software developers, blockchain platforms, and suppliers of mining equipment. More than 60 companies from around the world will show their products and services.

“We are holding the Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference in Russia for the sixth time and have seen from our own experience that the market is growing and advanced technologies are becoming more and more popular. The audience capable of accepting blockchain-based developments is expanding, and we decided to go beyond the usual conferences with a demo zone,” comments project coordinator Alina Toderenchuk. — If previously the demo zone was organized primarily for business communication, now the exhibition format allows even visitors who are not particularly knowledgeable in the topic to become familiar with the possibilities of using blockchain and cryptocurrencies, and for the projects themselves to more fully present themselves to the world. Participants of the event will be able to present their products and their technologies to the mass consumer, fortunately, the 3,200 square meters of the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center allow this to be done at a decent level.”

The full list of participants is too large (you can find it on the website), so we will mention only the most significant projects. First of all, this is the stand of the multifunctional open-source blockchain platform BitConnect. It has its own cryptocurrency BCC, which ranks 9th in terms of capitalization among all world cryptocurrencies ($1.6 billion). The DAO.Casino project has created a blockchain protocol for online gambling platforms, and the Brickblock platform, built on the Ethereum blockchain, allows you to invest cryptocurrency in traditional exchange-traded funds, real estate funds and mutual cryptocurrency funds. TeraHash develops software for Bitcoin ASIC miners, the Oris.Space platform is designed for creating forecasts, conducting social research and testing gaming algorithms. The highlight of the event will be the stand of the Manli company, which will provide visitors with the opportunity to get acquainted with mining equipment in practice. It is also worth mentioning the company Group-IB, which investigates cybercrimes - it will show its own solutions in the field of information security at the exhibition.

How Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Belarus went

“Belarus managed to get hype.” How Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Belarus went

On October 10, Minsk hosted Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Belarus - an event dedicated to cryptocurrencies, blockchain and ICO. Here, 20 speakers from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Poland discussed the features of the cryptocurrency market in the country, and 5 companies represented in the demo zone showed their latest developments in the industry.

In total, the conference was attended by more than 200 guests, and the event was covered by 50 media partners.

Main discussions: what happened at the panel discussions

As usual, the panel discussions were the most lively. Moreover, they discussed very exciting topics - what 10 months of Decree No. 8 “On the Development of the Digital Economy” brought and how to attract investments to the blockchain technology market of the Republic of Belarus.

The first discussion included:

  • Elena Murashko – partner of the Revera law firm;
  • Alexander Lozben – Chief Executive Officer of Cryptocode;
  • Dmitry Matveev – legal expert;
  • Anton Kulichkin is a business angel, a member of the Association of Belarusian business angels Angels Band.

The discussion was moderated by Evgeniy Romanenko, a cryptoeconomist and host of the iTuber channel. Experts agreed that the adoption of laws related to cryptocurrencies is a long process and there is no need to rush to resolve legislative issues.

“This process takes time. The price is too high: I don’t want Belarus to get involved in stories related to money laundering and exclusion from international communication. Colleagues from Malta and the Isle of Man asked us to translate the decree into English. They are studying our experience,” said Elena Murashko.

At the same time, Alexander Lozben expressed disappointment in the famous Decree No. 8.

“Belarus managed to hype up, but nothing followed after that. Yes, we have worked out the accounting of tokens, but is there at least one company that has put them on its balance sheet? The decree came into force without prepared standards,” the expert believes.

Anton Kulichkin also joined the experts - only this time in the role of moderator.

The discussion participants discussed the current state of the ICO institution in Belarus, whether traditional venture capital will become an alternative to financing blockchain and crypto projects, and also proposed effective tools for attracting financing.

What the conference speakers talked about

The report of Dmitry Machikhin, partner of the law firm GMT Legal, aroused great interest among the participants. He spoke about the legal aspects of preparing an ICO, details that need to be taken into account before organizing a token sale, and the rules for choosing a jurisdiction for an ICO.

Arthur Kuzmowski, senior partner at Thompson & Stein, spoke at the conference. The expert examined aspects of AML and KYC procedures and explained why they are important for the cryptocurrency market.

Also, Deputy Director of the digital agency Olshansky and Partners, Alexander Fedotov, spoke about how to effectively promote ICOs within the framework of modern realities.
