The documentary film “Blockchain and Us” was very warmly received by both critics and the crypto community. It is rightfully recognized as one of the highest quality documentaries about blockchain and Bitcoin. The film received several awards at major film festivals around the world: in particular, it was shown to participants at the Davos Economic Forum.
The brevity of the film is its huge advantage. The author managed to summarize the history, content and effect of blockchain technology on the economy and society in just half an hour (which is worth at least an explanation of the technology in 3 minutes). So this is a real find for beginners.
Among the heroes of the film are the founder of Lightning Labs Elizabeth Stark, co-author of the book “Blockchain Revolution” Alex Tapscott and Blockstream chief engineer Christian Decker.
Director Manuel Staggars is no stranger to the topic of technology. Before “Blockchain and Us,” he had already made a documentary about the fintech industry in his native Switzerland, and this year he released a film about the digital transformation of society. Apparently, he liked the topic of Bitcoin, since the second part of the documentary was announced on IMDB.
